Analysis of Female Specific Leadership Style in Organizations Dealing with Information Technology Development

The aim of the diploma thesis „Analysis of Female Specific Leadership Style in Organizations Dealing with Information Technology Development“ is based on an analysis of working styles of man and woman lead with regard to defining the specifics of women's leadership in comparison to men. The theoretical part provides basic terms related to this topic, especially the gender, and the related stereotypes. Adequate attention is paid to the current situation in management from the women’s perspective. Empirical part documents the course of quantitative research performed in the company, when the style of leadership has been studied in accordance with the stated hypotheses. At the end the summary of the findings is discussed in the context of their potential contribution to the company's experience in the field of management and cultivation of human resources.

The theoretical part describes the basic concepts of leadership, leadership styles and participative leadership is discussed in more detail. The theoretical part is supported by case studies where this leadership style is successfully ap-plied. In the practical part a qualitative method is used where semi-structured in-terviews are conducted. Using the results of the research, recommendations based on the concepts of participative leadership are proposed for improving the leadership of employees.
Analysis of Manager's Approach to Leading People

The bachelor thesis deals with the issue of leading people in the environment of small and medium-sized enterprises, specifically in academic start-ups and spin-offs. Using a questionnaire survey, it investigates what leadership style is most used by managers in this group of enterprises, also considering the set criteria. The pilot research shows that the most used leadership style is transformational leadership, and that there are also characteristics that when a manager possesses, his leadership is more effective. Based on these characteristics, the thesis proposes a so-called matrix of manager's characteristics.
Management of employees in the selected company

The thesis deals with leadership in the company Ferospoj s.r.o. The aim of the thesis is to analyze the management of employees in the selected company and to propose measures to improve this area. A questionnaire method and an interview with the head of the entire company are used to analyze the management. The quality of companies is based on the right choice of management style, thanks to which employees perform better. A questionnaire that employees completed in two periods was used for management analysis. Based on the results of the analysis of data from the first measurement, steps are proposed to change the leadership style, which lead to the development of the company. The second data measurement was used to identify the effectiveness of the change. Finally, the company's results for the period before and after were compared.
Situational Leadership Theory and its application in the optical business in the Czech republic

The Theory of Situational Leadership, the core of the thesis, has become nowadays one of the intensively studied area in Sociology of management. The primary goal to be accomplished here in this thesis is to examine leadership styles of leaders in the optical business in the Czech Republic and to determine if the leaders are effective when exercise leading the followers, all with regard to Blanchard's and Hersey's Situational Leadeship Theory. The main part of the thesis consists of empirical study which focuses on leaders and their ledearship styles in optical organizations as well as their effectiveness in leading team of followers. The quantitative survey tool modified by author so can be used in czech environment will be introduced in the methodological part of the thesis. The theoretical assumptions should appropriately illustrate the analytical results obtained by the research.
Application of the Person-Centered Approach (PCA) principles in management

The basic objective of the theoretical part of this diploma thesis is to present Rogers' Person- centred Approach (PCA) in terms of its development, theory, basic principles and potential applications out of therapeutical context, with emphasis on leadership. The first chapter is devoted to general knowledge of the PCA and in the second chapter there is a more detailed description of possible applications of the PCA in management. The basic objective of the empirical part is to verify the relationship between main necessary conditions of PCA in people management (respectively in person-centered leadership) and employees' organizational commitment. The quantitative research in the form of correlation study has been carried out on a sample of 63 respondents, employees of various organizations in various fields. Barrett-Lennard Relationship Inventory (BLRI) and Organizational Commitment Questionnaire (OCQ) were used as research methods. The results show the significant correlation between organizational commitment and measures of empathic understanding, congruence, and level of regard expressed by managers towards employees. Gender and management position from the psychological perspective

Thesis deals with gender and its influence on management position from the psychological perspective. Initially it focuses on the general definition of gender as a social category compared to the category of sex. After that it analyses existing differences among women and men and also stereotypes associated with them. In the next part it deals with the question of gender in the field of work and organizations. In the third chapter the thesis focuses on the influence of gender on the management position in several contexts. The focal point of the paper is the analysis of different leadership styles and their application by women and men. The empirical part proposes a research design focused on the differences among women and men in leadership styles in our culture. Its aim is to analyse leadership styles in small groups and satisfaction of subordinates with their superior.
The influence style of the manager's leadership on the work environment at the Agency for Human Resources of the Army of the Czech Republic

The main subject of the diploma thesis is analysis and an analysis of management styles and an impact on a working environment, interpersonal relationships and a work activities performance of employees at the Human Resources Agency of the Army of the Czech Republic. The first part of the diploma thesis is focused on theoretical aspects of the issue. It defines the basic concepts of management theory, concepts related to employee leadership and provides an overview of approaches to employees based on leadership styles. At the same time, within the psychology of work, the area of employee motivation, their evaluation and remuneration is presented. Theoretical part of the diploma thesis is at the same time defines the concept of work environment, during which interpersonal relationships at the workplace are further defined. Economic Benefits of Homeworking in the Business Company

With the development of time, more and more business companies have been using homeworking. Homeworking does not benefit the employer only, but also to the employees. It saves a lot of time to employees thanks to their flexibility. This management method also has some disadvantages. This thesis is going to talk about the influence on employers and employees. The first part explains the concepts related to this particular style of managing people. Mainly how homeworking affects employees. The practical part will be carried out at Albis Plastics CR, Ltd. and at Orchitech Solutions, Ltd., which use homeworking actively. Positive and negative assessments will be done through a questionnaire survey. The questionnaire survey will be attended by both the employees and the managers. On the basis of the obtained results, the benefits of homeworking in the selected companies will be evaluated. The main point of the thesis is to suggest, how to make this method of homeworking more efficient.
